ABOUT
BEHIND MOTO MOTO
My name is Donald Van Achteren Mupemba, better known as Mupemba Moves. I used to play football in my youth but at 25 I decided to go in a different direction. I often suffered from injuries and therefore wanted to gain more knowledge about the human body.
I attach great importance to physical strength, but everyone who knows me knows that mentality and spirituality are almost even more important to me. This I felt was something missing from most fitness programs and is what inspired me to create the Moto Moto Movement, combining these three elements together.
Through these training techniques I evolved as an athlete, a coach and in my personal life and with that it sparked my own fire and passion to spread this knowledge and energy to others that they too can grow stronger, healthier and happier.
Thanks to my training courses, extra educations, fellow personal trainers, I grow daily towards a better version of myself. I am extremely grateful to be allowed to give this to everyone who follows me, supports me and helps the Moto Moto Fam to grow.
OUR TRAINING VALUES
1.
LOVE THE WAY YOU TRAIN
When you love what you do, you’ll do it better. And you’ll do it more. You are more likely to stay consistent with the work if you’re enjoying it.
2.
TRAINING PAIN-FREE
There is no value in pushing through aches and pains or injuries. There are always ways to train around your pain/injuries. You cannot make progress if you are in pain.
3.
BUILD A STRONG FOUNDATION
Technique is the most important part of your training program. Without great technique, you won’t be able to build more strength over time and your body will eventually break down. Form first.
4.
PERFORMANCE GOALS
If you train for performance and are actively working towards PRs in the gym, the aesthetics (what you look like) will follow.
5.
LOVE THE PROCESS
The process is everything. Learn to love showing up everyday. Be process-driven, not results-driven. The reward and the fun is in the process anyway.
